Vicky Rudolf is a certified Bachata instructor through Bachata Dominicana RD and has been teaching dance for over six years. Her main focus is Dominican Bachata and its cultural roots, while her dance background also includes Bachata Moderna, Bachata Sensual, Salsa, and Afro-Cuban dances.
She holds a degree in Coaching and Training from the National Sports Academy in Bulgaria. During her studies, she gained knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, which she incorporates into her teaching to help students better understand body movement, coordination, and technique.
Viktoria fell in love with dance at the age of 18 in Bulgaria. What started as a passion quickly became a journey of continuous learning and exploration. She trained extensively with instructors from different countries across Europe, deepening her understanding of Bachata and the various styles that have shaped its evolution.
Her curiosity eventually led her to the Dominican Republic, the birthplace of Bachata. There, she began studying the different regional styles of Dominican Bachata while immersing herself in the local culture, music, and traditions. Through these experiences, she gained a deeper appreciation of the role that dance and music play in everyday Dominican life. Since her first visit, she has returned whenever possible. Dance brought her there, but the people, culture, and nature keep bringing her back.
In 2024, she discovered Bolero, a dance and musical tradition that immediately captured her interest and touched her emotionally. Before long, her enthusiasm for Bolero found its way into her classes, where her regular students eagerly embraced the opportunity to explore this beautiful dance alongside Bachata.
Over the past few years, Viktoria has also developed a strong interest in Merengue and Kompa, continuing her exploration of the rich social dance traditions of the Caribbean.
For Viktoria, dance is more than movement. It is culture, connection, music, and expression. Her goal as an instructor is not only to teach steps and technique, but also to share the feeling, history, and spirit behind every dance she teaches.
